National Health Partners
HORSHAM, Pa - (BUSINESS WIRE)
- National Health Partners, Inc. (OTCBB: NHPR), a leading provider of
unique discount healthcare membership programs, announced today that it is
launching a new CARExpress pharmacy discount program that will provide its
members with access to discounts on brand name and generic prescription
drugs throughout the United States.
The new CARExpress pharmacy discount program
will be a private-labeled prescription discount plan that features a
formulary that organizes both brand name and generic prescription drugs
into four pricing tiers.
Tiers 1, 2 and 3 will
include all brand and generic drugs that have a maximum allowable cost of
up to $10, $20 and $40, respectively. Tier 4 will consist of all brand
and generic drugs above $40.
CARExpress members will be able to obtain substantial discounts on
prescription drugs at more than 50,000 participating pharmacies and mail
order pharmacies located throughout the United States, including CVS,
Target, Walgreens, Eckerd, Giant and Rite-Aid.
The company intends to begin offering this
unique pharmacy discount program within the next few weeks. This program will be offered as a
stand alone program as well as an add-on program to its existing
CARExpress health discount programs and CARExpress Plus programs. Some of the CARExpress member
benefits of joining this new program will be: (i) no enrollment
requirements or restrictions, (ii) lowest-price override, (iii) no medical
exams or exclusions for pre-existing conditions, (iv) no waiting periods,
and (v) generic substitution when allowed by the prescribing physician.
"We are launching our new CARExpress pharmacy
discount program in response to overwhelming demand by our business
partners," stated David M. Daniels, President and Chief Executive Officer
of National Health Partners.
"We are very excited to add this program to our arsenal of member
benefits because the formulary feature enables our members to save more
money on their brand name and generic prescriptions than they can under
traditional pharmacy discount programs. With this new program, we can now
provide our members with some of the very best prescription savings
available on the market today.
It is because of the significant savings available under this type
of program that we have received so many requests for such a program by
current and prospective business partners. We expect to begin selling a
significant number of our new CARExpress pharmacy discount programs when
we roll it out to the public in the next few
weeks."
