Press Release Source: National Health Partners, Inc. NATIONAL HEALTH PARTNERS Wednesday, April 26, 8:00 am ET HORSHAM, Pennsylvania – (BUSINESS WIRE) – April 26, 2006 – National Health Partners, Inc. (OTCBB: NHPR - News), a leading provider of unique discount healthcare membership programs, announced today that it expects to achieve monthly revenues of $2 million for December 2006 and a membership base of over 50,000 members by December 31, 2006. “We implemented several strategic growth initiatives during the first quarter of 2006, and they are starting to pay off,” stated David M. Daniels, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Health Partners. “We have achieved new contracts and strategic partnerships with a number of marketing and distribution companies, and continue to see increases in the number of companies marketing and selling CARExpress. The interest in our business has continued to outperform even our own high expectations. As a result, we now expect to be generating a monthly revenue run rate of $2 million in December 2006 and expect to achieve a membership base of over 50,000 members by December 31, 2006.” “Based on current market trends and our current operating plans, we have the following goals and objectives for 2006:
The strong increase in revenues and members in 2006 will be generated primarily from our Hispanic television and radio advertising campaign featuring international superstar Lucia Mendez, the implementation of our CARExpress Visa/MasterCard program and sales of our ‘wrap-around’ program through National Health Brokerage Group, as well as new business opportunities for strategic collaborations and joint ventures that we are in the process of negotiating.” The company intends to finance its Hispanic advertising campaign and the development of its CARExpress “wrap-around” programs and CARExpress Visa/MasterCard programs through cash on hand, internally generated cash flows from operating activities and proceeds from the exercise of outstanding warrants. “Our objective to date has been to position the company for organic growth and profitability,” stated Alex Soufflas, the company’s Chief Financial Officer. “Each new member represents a recurring monthly revenue stream. Our revenues will continue to grow exponentially as we introduce new programs to the marketplace and add new members each month. The cash that we will generate from these members will soon become our primary source of funding.” “We have already initiated several measures in anticipation of our future growth,” continued Mr. Daniels. “We are in the process of hiring additional customer service staff and transitioning our staff from one shift to two shifts to ensure adequate coverage for our members. We are also in the process of outfitting our principal executive offices in Horsham, Pennsylvania with additional computer equipment and office furniture.” Hispanic Advertising Campaign Featuring Lucia Mendez “We are currently in the process of initiating a national advertising campaign targeting the Hispanic marketplace. Lucia Mendez, an international superstar entertainer, will be starring in television and radio commercials that are currently in production as our spokeswoman for the campaign. We will be airing the television commercials on Telemundo and Univision, as well as other Hispanic television networks, and will be airing the radio commercials on radio stations focused on the Hispanic community.” The company intends to begin releasing the television and radio commercials in mid-May 2006 in select markets throughout the United States and intends to expand the campaign each month to encompass a greater number of cities with a large Hispanic population. CARExpress Visa/MasterCard Program “We are also in the process of developing a CARExpress Visa/MasterCard program,” continued Mr. Daniels. “Many of the people who are uninsured or underinsured do not have a debit or credit card. As a result, this program will be ideally suited for them. CARExpress members participating in the program will place money on their card and use the card to pay their CARExpress monthly membership fees. They will also be able to use the card for all healthcare purchases they make through CARExpress.” The company is currently in negotiations with a number of merchant processors and expects to begin offering this program to the public during the second quarter of 2006. CARExpress “Wrap-Around” Program The company has formed a new wholly-owned subsidiary called National Health Brokerage Group through which the company intends to sell its CARExpress programs in combination with low-cost insurance products. “We are very excited about the opportunities available for us to sell CARExpress as a ‘wrap-around’ program,” commented Mr. Daniels. “Combining CARExpress with low-cost insurance products like Mini-Med plans and catastrophic life insurance provides people with a fully integrated product that covers all aspects of a person’s healthcare.” Our ‘wrap-around’ program is a perfect match for small companies that cannot afford to provide their employees with health benefits.” The Market Opportunity “We are very excited about the future,” commented Mr. Daniels. “The market opportunity for CARExpress is extraordinary.” The United States Census Bureau recently released the following information to the public:
“Within the next decade, more than 100 million Americans are expected to utilize some version of a health savings program,” added Mr. Daniels. “The potential market for the healthcare savings industry for uninsured individuals alone is estimated to grow to over $27 billion a year. CARExpress is a perfect solution to the current healthcare crisis. We expect to have a breakout year in 2006 and expect our growth to continue during 2007 and beyond.” National Health Partners, Inc. National Health Partners, Inc. is a national healthcare savings organization that provides discount healthcare membership programs to uninsured and underinsured people through a national healthcare savings network called “CARExpress.” CARExpress is one of the largest networks of hospitals, doctors, dentists, pharmacists and other healthcare providers in the country and is comprised of over 1,000,000 medical professionals that have agreed to render their services and products to CARExpress members at discounted prices.
